FREE Caregiver Workshop for families and professionals

Family and professional caregivers will find ongoing support and leave the workshop with the following:

  • Knowledge of important legal issues surrounding elder care, including the important documents needed for financial and long term care planning. 
  • A better understanding of dementia, how it progresses, and available treatments
  • Care strategies proven to work for those living with Alzheimer’s and related dementias
  • Tips to help caregivers take better care of themselves

Primary Educator: Eileen Poiley, MS, Design for Dementia: Impacting Safety, Behaviors and Quality of Life. Caregivers will learn how the home or community environment affects those living with dementia. Get tips on how to set up the living space to enhance your loved one's safety and quality of life. Eileen Poiley is Director of Education at the University of South Florida Byrd Alzheimer’s Research Institute.

This Workshop is FREE for Family Caregivers & Healthcare Professionals
CEUs Pending | Course handouts, lunch and refreshments provided.
